It all began with a visit. Dean Pollard, who grew up in the Central Valley of California, was looking for a place to retire. In 2016, he found it. The Boulder Farm was overgrown and shrouded by brush, but glimpses of granite boulders were peeking through. That’s when the farming began. His son, William Pollard, joined the effort and together they have developed the Boulder Farm into what it is today. Read more from our feature in Climbing Magazine.
